Do You Really Need All-Inclusive?
Not necessarily. In Playa del Inglés, Maspalomas and many other tourist areas, eating and drinking outside your hotel can be surprisingly affordable.
There are plenty of cafés, restaurants, terraces and bars, which means room only, breakfast or self-catering can give you much more freedom to explore.
If you expect to spend most days around the island, at the beach, on excursions or enjoying Yumbo nightlife, paying extra for all-inclusive may simply not be necessary.
All-inclusive can still be a good option if you mainly want to relax inside a resort, but for many visitors Gran Canaria is more fun when you get out and discover it.
